Glenn Coope, also known as gCoope, is a musician and producer based in Manchester, United Kingdom. He started playing guitar at the age of 11 and has since played in indie rock and indie pop bands, which can be recognised in his guitar playing style. He started making lofi music when studying for his PhD at the University of Manchester, as he found listening to it essential for his focus and endurance during study sessions. His debut album ‘Desired Views’ in collaboration with Odd Panda was released in May 2023. gCoope creates soundscapes with an emphasis on catchy guitar riffs, simple piano and synthesiser melodies, and a unique blend of interesting and unusual sounds throughout his music.
