Description
iamalex is a multi-genre project, moving from lo-fi hip-hop and chillout, to disco and lo-fi house. Based in Copenhagen, iamalex releases warm, cozy beats, but also likes to vibe with darker and deeper records. iamalex started his career inspired by a variety of artists like Daft Punk, The Avalanches and DJ Shadow, to mention a few. From this inspiration, he started making his own beats, which led to a variety of vinyls, cassettes and digital releases on different labels around the world.

iamalex and Felty have joined forces once more to bring you a relaxing package in the middle of June. “New Day” is an album full of expressive guitar melodies, layered on top of hazy rhodes and relaxing drum grooves, that invite you to doze off. This train station doesn’t see many visitors - the tracks are overgrown with weeds, the announcements from the speaker replaced by soft, grainy music that echoes throughout the empty platforms - but provides the perfect shade against the clingy heat that’s starting to settle in.
